Vol 1 has portrait of Nicholas Ist, 1 large foldout map (map taped in places) and 12 illustrations. Vol 2 has one very large color foldout map of Russia (map is VG) , and 11 illustrations. Volumes are 3/4 leather with tan cloth and gilt spine lettering with horizontal gilt lines. College bookplate in each volume with library pockets on rear end papers, blind stamp on initial text page in each volume, a few library numbers written nearby. No spine numbers.
