Antique Dutch map (guaranteed original) of Gibraltar with 6 colorful ships circling the island and a bold stunning bw engraved swirl of Greek Gods and myth along right edge. Along bottom portion of map are two seascapes, side by side: Vue de Detroit de Gibraltar comme il se Represent du Cole de la Mer Mediterranae; Vue de la Ville et Du Detroit de Gibraltar du cote de l'Ocean Atlantique ou Occidental. Hand-colored in strong green, pink and red color. Truly Beautiful map! VG, faint vertical crease runs length of map; light edge fraying, but bold colors, no tears, no holes, no spots. (a90928)

Sanson, Geographe Ordinaire du Roy." Fancy pictorial circle around map title and similar around map's key. Densely decorated map with lines of color in red, pink, orange, green. No tears. Folded in half. One very light stain (appears water-based) at center fold about 8 inches by 1 inch. Very pretty map with bold black outlines and bright colors. Good plus condition. Map - ephemera.
