World War One Posters. COLLECTION OF 8 ORIGINAL WORLD WAR ONE POSTERS
7 American posters; 1 British. All in English. Range in size from 12x17" to 23x17". All Good or better. Only 3 posters are unillustrated text; the rest have illustrations of some kind. 4 posters advertise Liberty bonds (one and 2 color); another poster is a YMCA recruitment poster seeking "4000 men resourceful, determined, successful..who can think and work and comfort our Soldiers, weary and suffering from the trenches. General Pershing wants you;...civilization calls you for the biggest job in Europe"; another poster requests used clothing by American Red Cross showing 3 large photographs of European war victims ; one is titled "Victory Liberty Loan" and has large illustration of blinded soldier; "The War of Munitions - How Great Britain has Mobilised Her Industries" poster has text plus several cartoon-type illus (several fold lines on this poster.) Most 1918 and 1919. Would make a fine exhibition. Photographs available. All posters are original. Each poster is held in flat heavy cardboard artwork sleeve with cellophane face. Lot of 8 Posters.
