Xerxes Books has a large inventory of out of print scholarly and unusual books in a wide variety of areas. We offer for sale over 50,000 titles published from the 16th through the 20th centuries. Our books are available at AbeBooks, Alibris, Biblio, and other sites - but you can save money and order directly through our website!

Our Inventory Search allows you to search the entire current Xerxes database by word or phrase. This search utility has been updated to include a full Shopping Cart feature to simplify the purchasing process. Orders are sent to Xerxes Books through a secure server.

You can browse or search our catalogues, and we are happy to issue lists in response to requests from clients or search our inventory for authors, titles or subjects.

Terms of Sale

Prices include U.S. fourth class shipping. However, in a few cases involving multi-volume sets or heavy items additional postage may be required (if this is the case, we will contact the purchaser to arrange shipping).

Expedited or international shipping and/or insurance charged at cost.

Payments should be in check for U.S. dollars drawn on U.S. bank or by international money order.

All items are subject to prior sale and are returnable within 3 weeks of receipt.

New York State residents must add sales tax unless they are dealers purchasing for resale.

Orders will be held for 7 days pending payment, unless a differerent period has been arranged.
