In collection: (1) 4 page printed promo brochure for book "Stephen Foster America's Troubadour" by John Tasker Howard. Pretty blue and grey prictorial cover, folded in half like a book. 1934. Fine. (2) Original typed letter from secretary (Dorothy J. Black) of Josiah K LIlly of Foster Hall in Indianapolis, Indiana, about the purpose of Foster Hall and mentioning that they were sending Pennebaker a copy of Foster Hall Bulletin. 2 pgs. near fine. Nice 2-1/2 x 5 inch engraving of Foster Hall as letterhead. (3) Two-page typed and signed letter from Fletcher Hodges, Jr. curator of Foster Hall Collection, alerting Pennebaker to recent rash of theft and forgeries of Foster material. 2 pg. VG. dated 1939. (4) Typed piece of paper titled "Some Collectors of Fosteriana" and giving names and addresses of 7 collectors. VG some paperclip rust. Group of 4 items: (a109688)
