Creelman, James Ashmore . SCREENPLAY: THE JOURNEY TO MARS (1936)
1936. Creelman was a celebrated Hollywood screenwriter whose credits include King Kong. Journey to Mars is dated 1936, which is one year after Creelman's final Hollywood film. He commited suicide in 1941. 4to., about 100 leaves (mimeo on yellow paper, rectos only), self bound in c-clamp binder. A very few neat pencil notations. VG. Unique. (a66797)

Original reproduction (rexograph) from typed script, labelled "Final Script, Completed December 24, 1931" Tall 4to., about 100 leaves, printed on rectos only, stapled. Final page G-10 ends with Collete "with a final gesture of a woman of the world" saying "Fifty-Fifty!" -- missing only final leaf (possibly final 2 leaves). Good, front wrap detached, a bit soiled and foxed, 4 inch by 1/2 inch hole in rear leaf without loss of text. (a28593)
